Pada dasar nya semua Web Hosting di atas adalah sama, tapi kita harus jeli dalam memilih hosting yang gratisan, karena kita harus memikirkan juga feature apa saja yang di berikan oleh website tersebut. Dan juga seberapa besar “banner” (info ilkan) yang di berikan di homepage kita nanti.
Kalau masalah banner ini tidak kita tanggapi dengan benar, maka akan menjadi masalah di homepage kita nanti. Akan kelihatan homepage kita jelek akibat banner tersebut.
Sebagai contoh portal http://www.fortunecity.com memberikan quota gratis sebesar 100 Mb kepada setiap orang yang mendaftar , cukup lumayan juga. Tapi..setelah kita create sebuah account di portal fortunecity.com itu dan kita upload data html dan htm kita ke hosting tersebut. Tapi mungkin kita akan terkejut setelah kita buka homepage kita itu dengan URL
http://www.fortunecity.com/nama_anda.htm, karena di atas darimenu homepage kita itu ada sebuah Frame yang agak besar sekitar 2,5 Cm dan itu adalah link asing bagi home nya kita. Karena mungkin sewaktu kita create homepage link tersebut tidak ada.
Coba kita perhatikan lagi Portal
http://www.geocities.com. Quota yang di berikan untuk user sebesar 15 Mb, namun setelah kita create account dan kita upload file kita ke dalam, dan kita lihat di internet dengan mengetikkan : http://www.geocities.com/nama_anda maka akan kelihatan link kecil sebelah atas paling kanan dari homepage kita tersebut. Link asing yang terdapat pada homepage kita tersebut yang di nama kan “BANNER” (link iklan). Di bandingkan dengan Fortunecity.com banner kecil ini tidak terlalu menggangu sekali. Tapi goecities.com hanay memberikan quota ke pada user sebanyak 15 Mb free. Dan itu mungkin salah satu dari kelemahan dari Geocities ini. Dan mungkin anda bisa membandingkan dengan Hosting-hosting gratisan yang lain. Feature yang di berikan dan kelemahan dari hosting tersebut.
